What I help people with
All the common mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression and stress. Many of my clients also seek support to heal from trauma-related issues:
Complex Trauma & CPTSD Therapy
You don’t need an official diagnosis to seek help for CPTSD. Many people experience a range of symptoms linked to complex trauma, often leading to physical health issues due to nervous system stress. Usually stemming from childhood abuse and neglect - whatever that looked like, sometimes without clear memory. With training in multiple trauma therapies, I can help you find recovery paths that help towards healing.
Relationships
I support people with all forms of relationship struggles. You may have been bereaved, hurt, let down, unloved, abandoned, or not loved in the way you needed; perhaps repeatedly. You may have experienced abusive or controlling relationships with someone, or many difficult interactions in your life. Together, we can work toward understanding, healing, and freedom from what happened — even if you’re unsure exactly what that is.
Physical Symptoms - Mind/Body
Chronic stress, early childhood trauma, and anxiety is said to show up in the body.
Many clients I work with experience conditions such as chronic pain, endometriosis, fibromyalgia, IBS, PMDD, and tics. I help people with their nervous system, mindfully, to support their holistic well-being.
Dissociation
Dissociation is often a protective response. Dissociation can include feeling spacey, disconnected, losing time, memory gaps, numbing behaviours, certain seizures, distinct internal states, and personalities known as Ego States.
Neurodiversity Support
Rather than diagnose, I provide support for people with ADD, ADHD, ASC, and AuDHD (whether diagnosed or not). CPTSD and PTSD are also considered forms of neurodivergence. My approach is tailored to help individuals navigate unique life challenges with understanding and acceptance.
Don't want a diagnosis?
I'm not here to diagnose, or focus on diagnosis;
Instead, I help individuals—whether they carry diagnostic labels or not — work through the complexities of their experiences, the lasting impacts of trauma, and the challenges that arise through being human.
Looking for a trauma therapist who offers something different to CBT and talk therapy?
Many clients come to me looking for modern trauma therapies that go beyond the scope of CBT and traditional talk therapy.
People are searching for transformative approaches,
to address deep-rooted issues, that promote true healing

My Experience
I bring over 20 years of experience in mental health, counselling and psychotherapy. I have found that just one therapy model can be restrictive to people's recovery, so I have trained to improve my skills and ways of working.
I work flexibly, integrating a range of approaches and theories, rather than a single method. People are all different, and I believe a therapist needs to be adaptable to people, and what they present. The range of approaches I'm trained in helps me be flexible, and work thoroughly through to recovery.
I'm trained in therapies that go deep, are gentle, and are powerful which create lasting change. Some of the psychotherapy training I've completed:
-
AEDP - Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP Therapist)

My approach is flexible and relaxed, and I aim to build a comfortable connection quickly so I can help. There's no need to prepare anything to talk about. Just come along to your session.
NEUROSCIENCE & PSYCHOTHERAPY
I used to think of psychotherapy as an art. The counselling and psychotherapy I provide now is a blend of art, humanity, philosophy, psychology and neuroscience.
Therapies informed by neuroscience are often known as "somatic" or body-based therapies. They go beyond talking about a problem. They are usually "doing" therapies, with a meditative quality and a psychotherapy focus (don't worry if you can't meditate).
Somatic therapies work with your emotions at depth, through the body. They can be quicker, gentle and yet powerful.
The somatic therapies I integrate are:
-
Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP)
-
Brainspotting
-
Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR)
-
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
-
Eye Movement Integration (EMI)
-
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy
I most often use these methods to help with difficulties that need more than talking, including:
-
Addictions
-
Attachment wounds
-
Complex trauma
-
Phobias
-
PTSD and trauma
-
Unexplained physical symptoms
-
Sexual difficulties
-
Performance and sports enhancement

"I really understand myself a lot better after working with you, and it was so useful to talk through my problems in a safe environment with someone completely non-judgmental. I have taken a lot from our sessions, everything is now looking much brighter! If I ever feel I need any more support I will certainly get in touch, and likewise I will definitely be recommending you if any of my friends are looking for some counselling. So thank you once again, it has been such a valuable experience for me".
